And then there were 15! Again, thank you all so much for being here!!!
Today's color comes from New York Color (NYC). Being from New York, I love this brand even though it is mostly a superficial romance based on the name! Anyway, once again, I had high hopes for this first color, called Taxi Yellow Creme. Of course, one of the first images that pops into my head when I think of home is a taxi. FYI, the second image is a Sabrett's umbrella. Fellow New Yorkers know what I mean.
Well, this color can be described in one word - streaky. As you may (or may not) know, I try to stick to only two coats when I'm swatching. Usually, even when you get yourself stuck with a streaky color, you can smooth it out after two or three coats. I did three coats here and it still looked streaky. No fun. Therefore, this color will be relegated to an "accents/nail art only" pile. I'm thinking it would be good for dotting...which made me envision a sunny-side up egg. Does anyone have any tips for dealing with a streaky polish?
BTW, I have a little notebook where I jot down my mani ideas and even sketch them out. You know I now have a "novelty" mani section that includes sunny-side up eggs! I'll start posting those fun and creative manis sometime in the near future, so stay tuned!
SH Double Duty and SH Insta-Dri for base and top.
