I'm Swatchin' You - Cover Girl Plum Fairy and a Giveaway Alert

First, check out the giveaway at The Perky Polisher!  Then, here is my last color from Cover Girl's Nail Slicks.  As you may (or may not) know, purple is my favorite color.  So there was no way I was passing this color up when it came out.  It came out at the same time as yesterday's color.  I believe it was the late 90s.  This one is called Plum Fairy.  It's a deep, shimmery purple and I love it!  Another "But I don't wanna take it off!" color.  I just wish my PhD camera did this color justice.  Note to self:  ask for a new camera for Mother's Day this year.  This one went on a little better than the Mystic Peacock, but definitely looks better, and beautiful, after two coats.  Formula and brush were great.  What do you think?  Did anyone else grab these when they came out?  Does anyone else remember the commercial?

I'm Swatchin' You - Cover Girl Mystic Peacock

Good morning and a giant hello to my newest reader!  Thanks for being here!  We're getting closer......Today's color is another one from Cover Girl's Nail Slicks collection.  I remember when these colors came out back in the 90s.  I saw the commercial and fell in love instantly!  I think this was my first experience with stalking stores waiting for a particular polish to show up.  Up first is a color called Mystic Peacock.  It is a beautiful dark teal with a subtle shimmer.  The color goes on smoothly but just a little more sheer than I would have liked.  It is definitely a 2+ coater.  But the formula and brush were great, with no issues.  Pictured here is two coats.

As for today's color, I felt like another little stroll down amnesia lane.  I have a couple of Cover Girl Nail Slicks colors to show you.  This one is a sweet color with a saucy name...In the Buff, and I love it!  There is just something so classy about a barely there color.  Very sophisticated, IMO.  It went on quite nicely, smooth and even, despite its age!  While it looks beautiful all by its lonesome, it would make a great french base, too.  Great brush, great formula, great polly, Miss Molly!
