Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials Tuesday - Cuticle Oil Part I

Good morning and welcome to another 3T Tuesday!  I decided to do a little series on some products I use.  This will let you in on what I do as well as give you a review of each product.  I know a lot of people are always looking for "the" routine or products to use.  I certainly did at one point.  But I'm going to let you in on a little secret...there is no one perfect routine or set of products to use.  Everything will work differently for different people.  I also think things like body chemistry, age, etc. play a large role.  So what you will see is simply what I use and what seems to work well for me.  And I'm sure that eventually, this will change as I try other products that I like more.

Today's product is SH's Green Tea and Soy Cuticle Oil.  What I love about this cuticle oil is that it's a great on-the-go cuticle oil.  The tube is compact and easy to carry in a small purse or even pocket.  It's made of plastic, so I don't have to worry about it breaking.  The cap is a screw-on that actually gives a little "click" when you screw it closed all the way, so you know it's secure and will not leak.  I really appreciate this, knowing my Dooneys will never be doused in oil.

The applicator is a wand with a brush at the end.  I'm a total geek for this!  When you pull the wand out of the tube, it makes this awesome slurpy sound that I adore!  Weird, I know.  Using the brush, I'm able to put just a small amount of oil on my cutes and rub it in.  I don't use too much since I usually use this when I'm out and about and don't want to leave oily fingerprints on everything I touch.  I probably use this anywhere from once to three times a day, depending on how dry I look/feel and what I'm doing.  And it does seem to give me a good dose of moisture.  My cuticles were absolutely horrendous!  And while they still are not perfect, I think every product I use has played a part in helping me reverse years of abuse and damage.  I've been using this one for about two months now and it will definitely stay in my arsenal.  And another plus, it lasts!  Since I only use a tiny bit at a time, it really goes a long way.

So if you are looking for a cuticle oil that you can carry with you without worrying about leaks, this is a great one to have!
