I'm Swatchin' You - Orly Pixy Stix

Finally, we are getting some better luck.  Today's color isn't perfect, but it was nice not to be disappointed.  Leave it to Orly to save the day!  This is a pink creme, called Pixy Stix, from the Sweet collection.

The only bad news about this color is that the formula was just okay.  It took three coats to reach opacity, and I experienced some balding.  Therefore, it's a bit tough to get solid coverage.  But I really do like the color.  For those of you that have been with me a while, you know I'm not a huge fan of pink.  What I love about Pixy Stix is that it's girly without being obnoxiously sweet.  My kind of pink.

I'm Swatchin' You - Zoya Sookie

After yesterday's disappointment, I was hoping for better news today.  But I got a little more disappointment.  Today's color is from Zoya's 2011 Summertime collection.  It's a bright red creme called Sookie (any fellow True Blood fans out there???).

First, the good news.  The formula is actually incredible!  This took only one coat to look beautiful.  I actually bought this color because it reminded me of my favorite WnW color, 414.  I thought Sookie might make a good back up.  Now for the bad news.

Sookie was not meant for longevity.  I didn't fix the polish in the photos so you could see what I was talking about.  A couple of hours after painting my nails, I took a shower, and I had not taken my photos yet.  Despite the fact that I am very heavy handed with my TC, I experienced terrible tip wear and chipping.  Sadness.  You'll notice the tip wear on my index and ring finger, and the chip on my middle finger.

I'm Swatchin' You - Sally Hansen Snappy Sorbet

Sadly, I have a slightly disappointing color for today.  It's Snappy Sorbet, from Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri line.  This is a peach creme.

Usually, most of the SHID colors are one-coaters.  Snappy Sorbet took two coats, and probably could have used a third.  The formula was just okay.  I experienced some balding, as well as uneven application.  Also, it does not level well.  Overall, a disappointment.  Hopefully, we'll have better luck tomorrow!

I'm Swatchin' You - OPI Animal-istic

Oh, how do I love the Muppets?  Let me count the ways!  Today's color comes from OPI's amazing Muppets collection from Fall 2011.  This is Animal-istic, a bright red with light red shimmer.

First of all, this color totally reminds me of candy apples.  Such an incredible color!  Two coats with a great formula, and no issues with clean-up.  This is one of those "you've got to see it to believe it" colors.  Looks just too amazing IRL.

I'm Swatchin' You - China Glaze Harvest Moon

I love today's color!  This is ChG's Harvest Moon.  I classified it as a brown, and it's actually a bronze with shimmer.  This is from the Spring 2012 Hunger Games collection.

Harvest Moon's formula was incredible.  Two easy coats was all that was needed.  Unfortunately, my easy clean-up streak is over.  This was a little tough to clean up, leaving traces of shimmer on the cuticles.  If only I was good enough to not require cleaning up!  But this gorgeous color is so worth it!

I'm Swatchin' You - New York Color MoMa

I have another pink from NYC to show you today.  This one is called MoMa, and is a pink creme.  It's a pretty heavy, fuchsia pink.

The formula on MoMa was a little runny, but decent to work with.  You are looking at two coats here.  And again, another color that was easy to clean up!  I'm on a roll here with easy cleaning colors!

I'm Swatchin' You - New York Color Radio City Rose

Today's color is coming to you from NYC.  This is Radio City Rose, a dark pink creme.

The formula on this one was pretty good.  It took two coats to reach opacity.  I did experience some balding with the first coat, but the second coat was solid.  This is another highly pigmented color that was surprisingly easy to clean up.  On a side note, being a New York City native, I just love NYC for their names.  Do you have a favorite from this line?

I'm Swatchin' You - OPI DS Reflection

Hey there, folks!  Sorry about the little hiatus.  Been just a wee bit busy, and then we were buried in three feet of snow!  But I actually loved it.  Anyway, I have a bunch of back posts lined up for you, so let's get started with a special polly, OPI DS Reflection.  This is a gorgeous dark pink holo.

You are looking at two easy coats here.  The formula, as expected for an LE OPI, was amazing.  And for a pigmented pink, clean-up was quite easy.  LOVE!
